A step-by-step guide to using Sales Mode, covering sign-in, making sales, managing orders, and integrating with Kuda payment terminals.

Sales Mode is the Point of Sale (POS) interface for Kuda Business. It is a cloud-based point-of-sale system that allows businesses to process transactions using a Kuda POS terminal. This guide will walk you through accessing the Sales Mode, making sales, managing orders, and understanding device requirements.


Accessing Sales Mode

How to Sign In

  1. Click Sales Mode instead of signing in with your credentials.

  2. Enter your Access Code, which is generated by your account admin in the Kuda Business mobile app.

  3. Click Sign In to access the POS system.

Device & Browser Requirements

  • Works on all browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.).

  • Requires internet access at all times (no offline mode).

Navigating the POS Interface

Main Sections

  • Inventory: Displays all available products for sale.

  • Order History: Shows past transactions, categorized into:

    • Open Orders: Orders sent to a payment terminal awaiting payment.

    • Settled Orders: Orders that have been successfully paid.

    • Saved Orders: Orders that have been saved for later processing.

Searching for Items

  • Use the search bar on the inventory page to find items by name or category.

Making Sales

Adding Items to an Order

  • Click on an item card in the inventory to add it to the order.

  • Adjust item quantity using the +/- buttons in the Order Details section.

Finalizing a Sale

  1. Click Charge to send the order to a Kuda payment terminal.

  2. On the terminal, customers can pay via Card or Bank Transfer.

  3. Once payment is completed, the order is marked as Settled.

Saving an Order for Later

  • Click Save, enter an order name, and save it to access later under Saved Orders in Order History.

Editing or Cancelling an Order

  • Saved Orders can be edited or cancelled before checkout.

  • Orders that have been pushed to a terminal cannot be cancelled.

Discounts & Modifications

  • Quantity adjustments are possible.

  • Discount functionality is not yet available (coming soon).

Managing Orders & Sales History

Order History Overview

  • Open Orders: Orders that are awaiting payment on a Kuda POS terminal.

  • Settled Orders: Successfully completed transactions.

  • Saved Orders: Orders saved for later processing.

Editing or Cancelling Orders

  • Saved orders can be edited or cancelled.

  • Refunds are not yet available in the Web POS (coming soon).

Receipts

  • After payment, receipts can be printed or emailed from the Kuda POS terminal.

Inventory Management

  • Adding or editing products and categories is not supported in Sales Mode. This must be done via the Kuda Business mobile app.

  • Inventory does not yet update automatically after a sale (coming soon).

Device & Connectivity

POS Terminal Integration

  • Supports multiple Kuda payment terminals per business.

  • Payments must be processed via a linked Kuda POS terminal.

Manual Payment Processing

  • Manual entry for payments is not yet available.

Internet Connection

  • Requires an active internet connection at all times.

  • No offline mode is currently available.
