Apps on Kuda Business

Connecting your Kuda POS to the business software you already use

Apps is a section in the Merchant Area of Kuda Business where you can find business software that works with your Kuda POS. If you use software to manage orders or inventory, Apps helps you connect it to your terminal, so bills go straight to your POS, and you don’t have to type the same amount twice.

The software listed in Apps is made by separate companies, which we call partners. Kuda does not own or run these tools. Kuda provides your terminal, your Kuda Business account and the payment.

How Apps Work
Once your POS is connected to a partner, you take orders in the partner’s app as you normally do. When your customer is ready to pay, you send the bill from the partner’s app to your Kuda POS. The amount appears on the terminal, your customer pays, and the money goes into your Kuda Business account. The sale is also matched to the order in the partner’s app.

This is called a push payment. Your terminal still works as usual for walk-in card and transfer payments, so nothing changes for customers who pay the normal way.

Partners Available on Apps

You can currently connect your Kuda POS to Lumi, TracePos, Sales Unbox and StoreLense. We’ll add more partners over time, but these are the partners available at the moment, and you can always check Apps to see the latest list.

Who can use Apps?

Apps is available to admins and super admins of active Kuda Business accounts. Other team members on the account won’t see it.

To connect a partner, you need an active physical Kuda POS. Virtual POS can’t be connected. If you don’t have a POS yet, you can still browse Apps, and you’ll see an option to request one when you tap Connect POS.

You also need your own account with the partner you want to use. Kuda doesn’t provide this account, and the partner may charge for it.

Connecting Your POS to a Partner

To connect your POS to a partner, follow these steps;

  1. Open Apps in the Merchant Area and tap your partner.

  2. If you do not have an account with them, tap Explore Partner to sign up or sign in.

  3. Tap Connect POS and choose your terminal.

  4. Copy the access code and serial number, or use Copy both.

  5. Enter them in the partner's app. Each partner's setup screen looks different, so follow their instructions.

  6. Send a small test bill to confirm it lands on your terminal.

Kuda Business does not show a connected status, because setup is completed on the partner’s side. A test bill arriving on your terminal is how you know the connection is working.

If you have more than one terminal, repeat these steps for each one you want to connect.

Fees/Charges

Using a partner does not change what Kuda charges you for POS payments.

Your partner may charge a service fee, which is agreed between you and them.

This fee is paid by you, not your customer. It is taken from your Kuda Business account after each payment and is not added to the amount your customer sees on the terminal.

Getting help with Apps

If a bill doesn’t reach your terminal, check that the terminal is switched on, charged and online, and that the access code and serial number in the partner’s app match the terminal you chose in Kuda Business. Then try sending a new bill.

If the bill still doesn’t arrive, or the partner’s setup screen asks for details you don’t have, such as a Merchant ID or Terminal ID, chat with us in the app or contact us at [email protected] and we’ll help you sort it out. Let us know the partner’s name, your terminal’s serial number and, for a missing bill, the time you sent it.

Requesting software that isn’t listed

Only partners listed in Apps are supported. If the software you use isn’t there, tap Request a partner and fill in the short form with its name and how you’d like to use it with your Kuda POS.

We review every request and use them to decide which partners to add next. We can’t promise that a particular provider will be added or give a date, but the more merchants ask for a tool, the higher it moves on our list.
