Before you can create or use passkeys on your iPhone with Kuda Business, enable iCloud Keychain and passkey autofill. Passkeys are surfaced through Apple's AutoFill flow with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode.
Why iCloud Keychain is required
iCloud Keychain:
Securely stores your passkeys
Syncs passkeys across Apple devices on the same Apple ID
Is required by iOS for passkey storage and sign-in
Passkey autofill is configured separately from Safari form autofill (names and addresses).
Steps to enable iCloud Keychain
Open Settings
Tap your Apple ID (your name) at the top
Tap iCloud
Tap Passwords and Keychain
Turn on Sync this iPhone
Authenticate with Apple ID password, Face ID, or Touch ID if prompted
Enable AutoFill for passkeys
Open Settings > Passwords > Password Options
Turn on AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys
Select iCloud Passwords & Keychain as the source
Ensure Face ID & Passcode (or Touch ID) and a device passcode are enabled
Safari form autofill (optional): Settings > Safari > AutoFill controls contact and address filling in web forms. It does not replace Password Options for passkey login.
Verifying it works
Settings > [Apple ID] > iCloud — Keychain shows On
Wait a few minutes for initial sync
Settings > Passwords — a Kuda Business passkey appears after setup
Sign in to Kuda Business with Face ID or Touch ID when prompted
If AutoFill is not working for passkeys
Confirm iCloud Keychain is selected under AutoFill sources (Password Options)
Confirm Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode works
Check internet connection and iOS is up to date
Restart iPhone if toggles will not stay enabled
Check Apple System Status for iCloud outages
Some setups require scanning a QR code for cross-device sign-in—follow on-screen prompts.
Additional information
iCloud Keychain is encrypted; enabling it does not remove existing passwords
Works with Safari and compatible apps such as Kuda Business
Reconfiguration is only needed if you sign out of your Apple ID or switch Apple accounts (switching accounts breaks access to passkeys stored under the previous ID)
