softPOS is a feature that lets you accept payments using just your smartphone. No extra hardware needed β your phone becomes the POS terminal.

Getting Started
What you'll need:
An NFC-enabled Android phone
The Kuda Business mobile app
An internet connection
How much does it cost?
Good news! Using softPOS is free. You'll only pay fees on the transactions you process.
Setting Up softPOS
Open your Kuda Business app
Tap 'Sell'
Tap the menu icon (top right corner)
Select 'Sales Mode'
And you're ready to go!
Taking Payments
Card Payments:
In the Kuda Business app, tap 'Sell'
Enter the amount
Tap 'Charge', then 'Pay with Card'
Choose the account type
Ask your customer to tap their card on your phone
Customer enters their PIN
Send a receipt or skip
USSD Payments:
In the app, tap 'Sell'
Enter the amount
Tap 'Charge', then 'Pay with USSD'
Select customer's bank
Customer dials USSD code or scans QR code
Send a receipt or skip
Pay with Kuda:
In the app, tap 'Sell'
Enter the amount
Tap 'Charge', then 'Pay with Kuda'
Scan customer's QR code or they enter their Pay ID
Send a receipt or skip
Setting Up Sales Mode for Your Team
Want your staff to use softPOS too? Here's how:
Download Kuda Business app on their phone
Tap 'Sign in here to use Kuda Business in Sales Mode'
Enter the access code
Tap 'Start' to activate Sales Mode
Adding a New POS Device:
In your app, tap 'Sell'
Tap the menu icon
Select 'Manage POS Devices'
Tap 'Add New Device'
Name the device and create an access code
Share the code with your team member
Troubleshooting Tips
Make sure NFC is turned on in your phone settings
Check your internet connection
Ensure your Kuda Business app is up to date
Remember: Never ask customers to share their Pay ID or PIN with you directly.
